Great features such as load-hauling capability and convenient access points merge to equip the Red Cloud 5600 for extended backpacking trips. The Red Cloud 5600 relies on twin lightweight aluminum stays, a horizontal anti-barreling stay and an HDPE framesheet for dependable support. This design provides stability and load-bearing strength while avoiding the clumsy rigidity of external frame packs. The contoured, dual-density waistbelt offers comfy load support while the anatomically curved and padded shoulder straps can be easily adjusted to accommodate torso lengths.
Side compression straps secure the contents of your pack for optimal balance and load distribution. The pack body consists of a large top-loading main compartment and a lower compartment that is designed to hold backpacking-style sleeping bags. The lid can be removed entirely for use as a lumbar pack and the large pocket located on the front panel provides internal organizational choices. Retails for around $139.95.
