Ocean Lakes Family Campground

Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach S.C, will play host to some of the country’s top Bluegrass artists August 28th and 29th during the 11th Annual Premier Bluegrass Weekend. The concert is open to Ocean Lakes’ guests only and wristbands are limited. 

Awarded the title of 2008-2009 National “RV Park of the Year” by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, Ocean Lakes is the largest campground on the East Coast and one of the largest in the United States with over 310 acres of campsites and beach house rentals. Hunting Island in South Carolina is that states single most popular state park which attracts more than a million human visitors a year. Also drawn to the semi-tropical barrier island is a variety of wildlife, ranging from loggerhead sea turtles to painted buntings, barracudas to sea horses, alligators, pelicans, dolphins and deer and the coral snake. What they all seem to enjoy is five miles of beach, the thousands of acres of marsh, tidal creeks and maritime forest, a saltwater lagoon and ocean inlet.

Amenities include a fishing pier and some of the state’s most in demand campsites and cabins. For those looking to camp there RV camping is available at the northern end of the park near the ocean. Each site has electrical and water hookups. For tent camping there are ten trail sites for tent campers renting for $17-19/site/night and a primitive group camping area is available for organized groups up to 100 people.
