Coleman double sleeping bag
The budget Coleman double sleeping bag is rated down to 40 degrees for summer car camping, and it zips apart into two single sleeping bags when needed and retails for only $70. While it’s not a bad deal if you camp only rarely and usually camp as a couple, it isn’t as sturdy as many other bags in the same price range, and it is nearly twice as heavy as the LL Bean Flannel Lined Sleeping Bag, yet doesn’t provide any additional warmth or cushion.
The budget Coleman bag does come with a five year warranty however, and it carries the Coleman name which is a longstanding and reliable brand. If you plan to carry a sleeping bag around (for back country hiking and camping) or if you need a warmer bag (which you would indeed want even in summer if you camp in back country), the budget Coleman bag is probably not your best bet. For a basic, sturdy, spare double sleeping bag however, it’s not too bad.
