The VZ Navigator 5.0 has been launched by Verizon but what may be hindering customers is the fact that Verizon is charging for it. Normally this would be a free service elsewhere although they do have some extra features you don’t get from Google Maps or Nokia Ovi Maps.

The VZ Navigator 5.0 comes with Facebook integration and other features like crowd sourcing of traffic information, voice recognition for search and destination and quicker navigation start. For the charges we were telling you earlier, VZ Navigator costs $10/month or $3/day. Would you pay for such a service the next time you camp out?
