These things are common for people who camp a lot but some people take them along due to their multi-functional nature and use. The Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Pocket Knife includes a small blade for cutting, mini-scissors and a plastic toothpick. It even comes with a nail file with screwdriver tip and compact mini-tweezers, all enclosed in stylish color housing as Victorinox has been known to deliver.

Each individual tool has been hardened in a different way to stand up to its designated use. As with all Victorinox multi-tools, the Classic carries a lifetime warranty.

Classic Swiss Army Knife

Classic Swiss Army Knife

A Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Knife will set you back around $17.50, but once you own one you’ll never want to be without one again. Despite a few drawbacks, they are indispensable tools to have on hand when camping, hiking, or just living. The knife is lightweight and small and fits easily into a shirt or pants pocket, where it stays until you need it. One small pair of scissors, two sharp knife blades, and a pair of tweezers all fold neatly into the trademark red body.

The knife blades do tend to dull quickly and have to be sharpened frequently for maximum efficiency, but that is probably at least partially due to the fact that once you get used to carrying one of these little knives, you find yourself using it more and more until you can’t really leave your house without it whether you are camping or not. Keep in mind that if you forget you are carrying your Victorinox Swiss Army Classic Knife when you board an airplane, it will indeed be confiscated, unfair as that sounds. So if you want to have one on a long trip, you may have to purchase it when you get there.
